Introduction / Surgery Information
It’s true that men are more likely to lose their hair than women, mostly due to male pattern baldness (more on that later).
But thinning hair and hair loss are also common in women, and no less demoralising. Reasons can range from the simple and temporary—a vitamin deficiency—to the more complex, like an underlying health condition.
Korea Hair transplant surgery is a procedure used to treat hair loss. Various techniques of hair transplant in Korea are available, but all hair transplants involve taking hair-bearing skin from one part of the scalp and grafting these pieces of skin onto bald or thinning areas of the scalp or areas of trauma. Korea Hair Transplant is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the ‘donor site’ to bald or balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient site’.
Conditions We Treat
There are a wide range of conditions that can bring on hair loss, with some of the most common being pregnancy, thyroid disorders, and anaemia. Others include autoimmune diseases, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and skin conditions such as psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.
Though there has been a link between menopause and hair loss. It could be that menopause and hair loss just occur at the same age.
Other reasons for hair loss include extreme stress; physical trauma like surgery or intense illness; dramatic weight loss over a short period of time; and taking too much Vitamin A. And hair loss can occur a couple of weeks to six months after any of these experiences.
Treatment of hair transplant in Korea may include:
- Treating any underlying condition or disease
- Hair transplants
- Scalp reduction
- Skin lifts and grafts
- Scalp expansion
